Lawrence Lessig on SCO
Don’t give me that look! You know how much I’m enjoying this SCO v. IBM mess.
Lawrence Lessig here argues that Darl McBride is asstalking again, based on the content of McBride’s open letter on open source.

Japanese Emoticons
Yes, I have a strange fascination with the Japanese approach to emoticons (smilies, facemarks, etc.). Here are two exhaustive references: the one-byte character version, and the two-byte character version. (Please note - many of the cooler ones on the second page are impossible without using actual Japanese characters, so they’re represented on there with images.)
Don’t be surprised if you see any of those on these storied pages. ^_^

Dahlia Lithwick, you da… um… woman.
(hmm, think i’ve outdone myself for Most Awkward Title on a Blog Post.)
Slate isn’t so bad either, even if they are owned by the Beast of Redmond (which, for the record, has nothing to do with yours truly). Read Dahlia Lithwick’s Holy Matrimony - What’s really undermining the sanctity of marriage? and ruminate.
(Astute readers will remember that I’ve posted to Ms. Lithwick’s pieces before, specifically in late June after the Lawrence vs. Texas decision.)
