Fanatical Apathy: Save My Marriage
Nothing like a little deadpan sarcasm. (The main piece itself is good, but the comments are phenomenal. My favorite is the one reminding us that the Taliban is against gay marriage, and suggesting that if we outlaw gay marriage, the TERRORISTS HAVE WON.)

Amend the Constitution? What, are you stup- oh, wait, never mind.
Yup, that’s right. President Fuckchop strikes again, this time at the perils facing “traditional” marriage. (Never mind fixing Vegas or the shoddy economy - apparently, the ONLY way to save the enigmatic institution that is American marriage is to keep a significant chunk of the population from having any part of it.)
Although, as CNN notes, any proposed amendment might not even make it out of Congress, thanks to the close split in each house, a lack of uniformity among Republicans on the issue, a pending election, and the fact that amending the Constitution is an extremely drastic move that is only un-doable by further amendment (cf. Prohibition).
And naturally The Onion has an excellent take on the whole same-sex marriage mess. (It’s funny because some people actually think it’ll happen.)

The Gay Agenda
You’ve heard about it for years. Now finally see - THE GAY AGENDA!!!
P.S. I’ve spent the entire day wanting to sing the Trogdor song, but alas, my voice does not work like that.

The Tao of Linux
Somehow, I managed to find myself with Slashdot modpoints again. Granted, it’s been a while, but I don’t always use all of mine… (although, as some would argue, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.)
Anyway. One of the better comments left on a story about kernel development was an unattributed copied-and-pasted version of The Tao of Linux, for which I’ve found the proper link.
It’s meant as humor - and it is funny - but it’s a humor steeped in profundity. Read and receive enlightenment, grasshopper. (See also The Tao of Programming for further variation on the geeky-tao theme.)

More pics from San Francisco
www.authenti-city.com has a whole slew of pictures of couples waiting in line to marry outside S.F.’s City Hall, and even more of couples before, during, and after their ceremonies inside. Beautiful.
While the first of two injunction filings was delayed until Friday, at this writing (check the timestamp, duh) the second case was still being heard. There may still be lines around the block well into next week.
These are interesting times, to be sure.
