From the top.

  • I am officially scandalized: Netflix has NO Ren & Stimpy discs to rent!
  • Some HS or college marching band needs to do an ABBA field show. Seriously, it’d be great. Start with “Mamma Mia” — a tour de force for the glockenspiel if I’ve ever heard one — and go on through “Fernando” and “Dancing Queen”. Dress the auxiliary up as the different members, or get some local drag queens. It will slay. Trust.
  • Ed’s getting married, and he’ll be moving in with his fiancee once our current lease is up. I need either a roommate or a new, cheaper place to live.
  • …although if i get the job I’m applying for, then it’ll be roommate/new place in the D.C. area. More on that as things develop.
  • My younger brother Bob just turned 21, so Ed and I took him out for drinks. Mmmm, beer…
  • R* and I went to a small gathering the other night, where we both met interesting people. Unfortunately, R*’s man of interest is straight, and my man of interest was either coy or uninterested in me. :(
  • R* and I also went to Arcelia’s, where he cooed over flan. (Flan being a Spanish sort of CUSTARD dish.)
  • Oh, and R* finally got with the program (as it were) and switched to Firefox. He claims that I had nothing to do with it, but that’s a pack of lies. (Lies, I tell you, lies!)
  • I told you I’d shoot! But you didn’t believe me! Why didn’t you believe me?!
  • I’m serious about that ABBA show. You have GOT to try it.
  • FTTP for $40/month? Damn. That is SEXY.
  • I should get a new pair of Chucks – my old ones are in pieces, yet I love them so. (Also, they’re cheap compared to some other shoes that spring to mind.)
  • As a matter of fact, yes, spelling DOES count when addressing an e-mail. You don’t expect to get the right person if you dial the wrong number, do you?
  • Decided to go ahead and get my favorite shirt on Threadless — “My Pet Rhino“.
  • Book Fair’s coming up at the end of August. Local types might want to visit.

Hmm, I think that’s it for now. Long, boring week ahead, but I’ll post when I can.
